SSL/TLS Encryption

For security reasons and to protect the transmission of confidential content, such as orders or enquiries that you send to us as the site operator, this site uses SSL/TLS encryption. You can recognize an encrypted connection by the fact that the address bar of your browser changes from "http://" to "https://" and by the lock symbol in your browser bar.

When SSL/TLS encryption is enabled, the data you transmit to us cannot be read by third parties.

Processing of Data

The subject of data protection is personal data. Under Art. 4 (1) GDPR, this means any information relating to an identified or identifiable natural person. Examples include details such as your name, postal address, email address or telephone number, as well as usage data such as your IP address.

Every access to our website and every retrieval of a file stored on the website is recorded in server log files. The data is stored for internal system-related and statistical purposes. The following is logged:

  • Name of the file retrieved
  • Date and time of the retrieval
  • Amount of data transferred
  • Message confirming successful retrieval
  • Web browser
  • Requesting domain
  • Operating system used
  • IP address used

The legal basis for the temporary storage of the data and log files is Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR.

Further personal data is processed only if you provide it voluntarily, for example as part of an enquiry or via the contact form. Your data will not be passed on to third parties without your consent.

Data Transfers to Third Countries

No such transfer of your data takes place on this website without your consent.

As a data subject, you have the following rights:

  • The right to request information about the personal data we process about you; Art. 15 GDPR
  • The right to request the rectification of inaccurate or incomplete data; Art. 16 GDPR
  • The right to request the erasure of your personal data, unless further processing is necessary:

    • for reasons of public interest; or
    • for the establishment, exercise or defense of legal claims. Art. 17 GDPR
  • The right to request the restriction of the processing of your personal data, Art. 18 GDPR,
    • if the data is inaccurate;
    • if the processing is unlawful;
    • if you have objected to the processing pursuant to Art. 21 GDPR.
  • The right to receive your personal data in a structured, commonly used and machine-readable format. Art. 20 GDPR
  • The right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority if you believe that the processing of your personal data violates the General Data Protection Regulation. Art. 77 GDPR

If you have given consent to the use of data, you can withdraw it at any time via our content management tool.

Right to Object

You have the right at any time to object, on grounds relating to your particular situation, to the processing of your data that is based on legitimate interests. A simple message to us stating the reasons for your objection is sufficient.

Cookies

This website uses cookies. These are small data packets that are stored on your device. The use of cookies increases the user-friendliness and security of this website. Common browsers offer the option of not allowing cookies. Please note: if you choose such settings, it is not guaranteed that you will be able to access all functions of this website without restrictions.

Our online presence contains links to other websites. This privacy policy does not extend to other providers. We have no influence over whether their operators comply with data protection regulations.

Analytics Tools and Advertising

Matomo

This website uses the open-source web analytics service Matomo.

With the help of Matomo, we are able to collect and analyze data about your use of our website (e.g. when which pages were viewed and from which region). We can also measure whether our website visitors perform certain actions (e.g. clicks, use of forms and internal links, etc.).

IP anonymization

We use IP anonymization when analyzing data with Matomo. Your IP address is shortened before analysis so that it can no longer be clearly assigned to you.

Hosting

We host Matomo exclusively on our own servers, so all analytics data remains with us and is not passed on.

Vimeo

We also use videos from the company Vimeo on our website. The video platform is operated by Vimeo LLC, 555 West 18th Street, New York, New York 10011, USA. With the help of a plug-in, we can show you interesting video content directly on our website. In doing so, certain data from you may be transmitted to Vimeo. In this privacy policy, we explain which data this involves, why we use Vimeo, and how you can manage or prevent the data transfer.

Where consent to the use of these tools has been given, processing takes place exclusively on the basis of Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR and Section 25 (1) TTDSG, insofar as the consent covers the storage of cookies or access to information on the user's end device (e.g. device fingerprinting) within the meaning of the TTDSG. This consent can be withdrawn at any time.

Our Presence on Social Networks

We link to our online presences on social networks and process data in this context in order to communicate with the users active there or to offer information about us. On these sites we are jointly responsible together with the operator, and we therefore inform you separately when you visit our pages.

Please note that users' data may be processed outside the European Union. This may create risks for users because, for example, it could make it more difficult to enforce users' rights.

Furthermore, users' data within social networks is generally processed for market research and advertising purposes. For example, usage profiles can be created based on users' behavior and the interests that follow from it. These usage profiles can in turn be used, for example, to place advertisements inside and outside the networks that presumably match users' interests.

For certain processing activities on our social media profiles on Facebook, Instagram and LinkedIn, we are jointly responsible with the platform operator pursuant to Art. 26 GDPR. We inform you separately there.

LinkedIn

We have a profile on LinkedIn. The provider is LinkedIn Ireland Unlimited Company, Wilton Plaza, Wilton Place, Dublin 2, Ireland. LinkedIn uses advertising cookies.

If you want to deactivate LinkedIn advertising cookies, please use the following link: https://www.linkedin.com/psettings/guest-controls/retargeting-opt-out.

For these purposes, cookies are generally stored on users' computers, in which users' behavior and interests are recorded. In addition, usage profiles may also contain data independent of the devices used by the users (in particular if the users are members of the respective platforms and are logged in to them).
